Ring Resizing
Resizing an 18ct gold or platinum ring is standard procedure and it’s very rare that we can’t get perfect results. Ring resizing can get complicated when it is to go up or down many sizes and when there are stones set in the ring. This usually does not mean it’s impossible, despite perhaps what you may have been told. Quite often it’s just a matter of tightening or resetting stones that have become loose, or in some way spending more time to get the job done
Polishing
Each item is inspected, deep cleaned and then indentations, scratches and marks are removed. A high polish is then applied to have your jewellery looking back to its best. All stones and settings are checked to make sure they’re secure.
Diamond & Gemstone Replacement
Losing a stone from your ring can be extremely upsetting. However usually it can be repaired back to ‘as new’ condition. If you’ve lost a stone from your ring, it’s usually because the claws have worn thin and then eventually the stone falls out. We can seamlessly repair the setting usually by re-tipping or rebuilding the claws, supplying a new stone if you need one and setting it into your ring.
When one stone comes out of a ring from normal wear and tear, it usually means that the other claws on the ring need work as well. We will check over the whole ring and quote any work needed to secure all the stones.
Valuations
We offer valuations for insurance purposes. We inspect and clean the jewellery then report on its condition, size, quality and weight. We then value the item of what we believe it would cost to replace and to insure. To learn more on valuations click here.

Ring Re-sizing
Note: Sizing down often requires stones down the side of rings to be tightened which are charged at £5 for each loose stone. 1-2 sizes usually doesn’t require any tightening. 3 or more sizes down will almost certainly need a few stones to be tightened.

Note: If you have a coloured stone on your ring that cannot take heat, then we may need to take the stone out before re-tipping. In these cases, we will have to quote for resetting the stone as well which is dependent on the type and size of stone.

Diamond Prices
Whether it’s a small diamond in a halo ring or the main diamond in a solitaire ring we’re able to match the existing quality by carat weight, colour, and clarity. In order to do this we need to see the ring in our workshop please contact us or book an appointment here. Our stone replacement service offers certificated diamonds on stones 0,25ct and above. We also offer a replacement on most gemstones.
Valuations
We offer valuations on jewellery from £48.
Most insurers in the UK require an up-to-date valuation to cover your jewellery. We inspect and clean the jewellery then report on its condition, size, quality and weight. We then value the item of what we believe it would cost to replace and to insure. To learn more on valuations click here.
Vintage Jewellery
The price of repairs on vintage jewellery is subject to viewing in our workshop please contact us or book an appointment here. Older pieces are often more delicate and require a bit more care and attention so please allow approximately an extra 20% on top of the listed prices.
